Why is the truss head machine screw poorly plated?
When the screw manufacturer produces the head and the thread shape of the truss head machine screw, the screw will be taken to the electroplating factory for surface treatment. However, when doing surface treatment, sometimes there will be poor plating. Why is this?
In the case of poor plating, there are generally blistering, uneven plating, etc. of the surface of the truss head machine screw. When the surface of the screw is foaming, there are generally two reasons. One is that the material contains impurities and the density is not enough. The two are improper plating solution, improper catalyst (sodium cyanide), unclean surface, and too high baking temperature. These will cause the surface of the screw to foam.
The surface of the truss head machine screw is caused by the fact that the closing oil is too thin. Generally, if this happens, the sealing process should be repeated. If there is oil on the surface of the screw, the seal oil is too thick, or it will move before it is blown dry, which will cause oil on the surface.
