How is extra long stainless machine screws produced?
In common screw production, it is to make a head-first commonly, rub tooth again. Then the extra long stainless machine screws are also produced in this way?
Generally, when the length of the screw is more than 100mm, the material is stainless steel, thread type is machine thread, can be called extra long stainless machine screws. Their mode of production is different from the usual cold heading of screws.
Because the length of the screw is too long, there is not so long spare space in the machine for cutting. So they need a separate cutting machine to do the cutting. After the completion of cutting, then the cut material into the debugging of the good closing machine to start. If the screw is a cup head hexagon, then it can only make the cup head shape, the hexagon shape is not hit, need to make the cup head shape, then take the hole, after drilling the hole, then the hexagon shapes out.
The reason why the cup head hexagon socket extra long stainless steel machine screw is produced in this way is mainly that the stainless steel material is too hard to directly produce the shape of the cup head and hexagon. But if it’s made of iron, you can just type it out. Because iron is softer than stainless steel.
After the head is finished, the shape of the thread position also needs to be drawn out. If the extra long stainless machine screws can be put into the manufacturer’s own teeth rolling machine, then it can be directly automatic teeth rolling. However, if the length of the screw is too long, it cannot be put into the rolling thread machine, then it needs to be put into the rolling rubbing machine manually so that the production time will be slower, the cost of labor will increase, which is inevitable.
