Can m5 stainless steel screws be made with strength level 8.8?
Shi Shi Tong screw manufacturer often receives inquiries from some customers, saying that they need some m5 stainless steel screws, but the strength of the screws is required to be 8.8, 10.9, etc. Ask us if we can do it?
Normally, the strength of stainless steel is level 4.8. If it wants to reach level 8.8, it is generally recommended to make it made of iron. Iron materials can be hardened to meet corresponding strength requirements. But the customer said that he did not want iron, but stainless steel, and the strength must be in accordance with his requirements.
In this regard, Shi Shi Tong screw manufacturer gave customers two suggestions: One is to change the material of m5 stainless steel screws to stainless steel 410, which happens to be a raw material. The second is to make A4-80 stainless steel material, but this material needs to be ordered, the minimum order quantity is very high, and it takes 15 working days to order the raw materials.
The customer said that they needed to discuss internally to see which solution would be better, but they needed us to first provide him with quotations for m5 stainless steel screws made of two materials, and they would consider it together.
