ISO 7379 shoulder screw, shi shi tong screw manufacturer
The ISO 7379 hex socket head screw, also known as the shoulder screw or step screw, has a generally unthreaded shoulder between the head and the thread, also known as the step position. The flat shoulder portion has a larger diameter than the threaded portion of the fastener and is typically used as a pivot, shaft or fixed rail in applications such as pulleys, cams, gears, latches, and the like.
The outer head of the socket shoulder screw is typically “knurled” and the installer is better to manually tighten and grip when installed.
It should be noted that the hexagon socket shoulder screw is measured differently than most other hex fasteners. When specifying a standard socket button, the user can specify the required diameter and total length below the head. With a hexagon socket head cap screw, the thread length is a constant which is the length of the undiametrically larger diameter shoulder.
ISO 7379 socket head cap screws/shoulder bolts are available in sizes from M2 to M10 and are available in other diameters and lengths upon request. The diameter of the shoulder will be larger than the diameter of the thread.
A2 stainless steel and A4 stainless steel are available at the Shi Shi Tong screw factory. Other materials such as brass, aluminum, titanium, and carbon steel are also available.
