Can the extra long machine screws be made full thread?
In the extra long machine screws we see, the threaded parts seem to be half – thread, and full – threaded ones are rarely seen. Is it because full – threaded screws cannot be made?
As a matter of fact, we can make a full thread with the extra long machine screws. The reason why the full thread is so rare is that it costs more than half thread. If it is a screw with half thread, then the screw can still be rolled out of the screw machine. However, if the screw is full thread and the length of the screw is so long, such as M6*720HM, the screwing machine can’t do it. Because there is no such long tooth plate, the tooth can only be rolled out to make the thread.
In addition, if the extra long machine screws are full thread, it will take more time and effort to screw it in, because the longer the screw, the greater the resistance and the more difficult it will be to screw. But if it’s a half thread, you can save some time and you won’t have as much resistance when you screw it.
