Machine Screw Head Types

Countersunk flat head: The countersunk flat screw has a conical bearing surface with a flat top surface and a countersunk angle of approximately 82° or 100°.

Raised countersunk head: The raised countersunk head screw has a circular top surface and a conical bearing surface with a countersunk angle of about 82°.

Pan head: The pan machine screw head types has a flat bearing surface. At the same time, the slotted head has a flat top surface and a cylindrical side connected by a circular arc. The cross recessed pan head is a dome face that is connected to the cylindrical side.

Spherical cylindrical head: The spherical cylindrical head has a low dome surface and a flat bearing surface. The diameter of the head is larger than the diameter of the head of the semi-circular head screw of the corresponding specification.

Truss head: The truss machine screw head types has a low dome face and a flat bearing surface. The diameter of the head is larger than the diameter of the head of the semi-circular head screw of the corresponding specification.

Spherical flat cylindrical head: The spherical flat cylindrical head should have a rounded top surface and a slightly tapered cylindrical side and a flat bearing surface. At the customer’s discretion, the slotted head has a ring-shaped root to the stem under the head.

Half round head: The half round head has a semi-elliptical top surface and a flat bearing surface. The head slotted pan head screw is better in terms of the quality of the slotted groove than the semicircular head slotted screw. The cross recessed pan head and the semicircular head are the same size. Pan head screws are recommended for new designs.
