phillips head machine screw head deformation is so large, can be produced?
A few days ago, the Shi Shi Tong screw manufacturer received an inquiry from Australia. The customer required that the diameter of the screw head is 5.0mm, while the specification of the customer’s phillips head machine screw is M2*5. The customer asked us whether we could produce this type of screw.
Generally speaking, in the production of screws, the screw wire deformation is generally 2 times the screw specification. When the amount of deformation is larger, many times more stations are needed for production. The head deformation of this type of phillips head machine screw is very large. The thickness of the head of the screw is also very important if you want to know whether it can be produced.
The customer said that he only requires the head diameter of the phillips head machine screw to reach 5.0mm, and the thickness of the screw head is not important. According to the requirements of the customer, we suggest the customer make the thickness of the head about 1.2-1.4, so that the screw can be formed on a single model machine, and does not need to be produced on a multi-station machine, thus saving the production cost.
