rounded phillips screw stainless steel or carbon steel white galvanized, which one is better in anti-rust performance?
A few days ago, a customer asked Shi Shi Tong screw manufacturer whether the rounded phillips screw is better in the anti-rust performance of stainless steel, or better in anti-rust performance of carbon steel plate with white zinc? They require salt spray testing to last 120 hours.
According to common sense, it must be that the rounded phillips screw are made of stainless steel, and the anti-rust performance is better. Because the salt spray test of white zinc-plated carbon steel screws basically fails, it cannot meet the 120-hour salt spray time that the customer said. Stainless steel screws can pass different salt spray time requirements according to different surface treatments.
For example, if stainless steel screws are treated with passivation, zinc-nickel alloy and other surface treatments, the salt spray test time can reach 1000 hours. Basically, it can meet most needs. Most of the salt spray time requirements are 24 hours, 120 hours, and 240 hours.
To sum up, if the rounded phillips screw is made of stainless steel, the anti-rust performance is much better than that of carbon steel plated with white zinc.
