Why Stainless Steel Screws Will Lock?
Now most of the use of fasteners companies, many of which are made using stainless steel material. But some people may not know much about features of stainless steel. Therefore, when the stainless steel screws and nuts are used, the screw nut may be bitten. Mainly because:
- Screws and nuts are produced in the same grade of stainless steel (such as screws and nuts are produced using 304HC). In this case, the screws and nuts will lock up.
- The center axis of the screw and nut is not perpendicular to the locked surface. The angle of inclination of the center axis of the screw and nut is too large.
- Excessive locking force and low thermal conductivity of stainless steel can easily lead to thread locking.
- The threads are not clean and are stuck with metal debris or other attachments.
