What factors determine that long brass screws need to be moulded?
For customized products, mold opening is generally required, just like long brass screws, long screws are basically customized products, rarely standard parts. Then what factors determine whether the long screw needs to open die?
- The rod part of the screw. If it is a long brass screws with half thread, the size of the screw rod is important. For example, the thread of M6 is generally formed with 5.25 wire rods, because the material has coefficient of expansion during the forming process. After completing the step of thread rolling, the thread size can reach the standard. If the diameter of the M6 screw rod is about 5.25, mold opening is generally not required, but if the diameter of the rod is 5.7mm, mold opening is usually required.
Second, the size of the head. If the screw head is in accordance with the standard, and the screw manufacturer has also made it, then generally do not need to open the mold, but if the size of the head is customized, then usually need to open the mold.
The shape of the tail. If it is machine thread, some customers in order to facilitate the use of the tail is generally designed to chamfer. Or some customers to design the thread into the machine wire tip tail, so it is necessary to open the mold.
Words shall be printed on the head. So basically you have to open the mold. Because each customer needs to customize the text is different, for example, some customers need to customize “A”, some customers need to customize “NA” and so on, basically there is rarely the same text, and the head size and shape of the long brass screws is the same.
