What should I do if the flat self tapping screws can’t suck?
Some time ago, a customer said that his flat self tapping screws are made of stainless steel. When used in a relatively humid environment, the locking position is relatively narrow. Just fell off and asked if we had a solution.
According to the customer’s problem, we suggest that the customer replace the material with carbon steel material, which can increase the magnetism of the screw and solve the problem of non-absorbing. However, the customer said that he used iron galvanized countersunk head self-tapping screws before, but it quickly rusted, so they switched to stainless steel, but the stainless steel screws could not suck.
According to the customer’s requirements, this kind of surface treatment requires strong corrosion resistance, such as Dacromet and zinc-nickel alloys, which can pass at least 1000 hours of salt spray, but this kind of salt spray time also needs to be asked by the customer. how long. Like the current iron and galvanized screws, due to environmental protection reasons, it is basically impossible to exceed 24 hours.
Later, according to the customer’s salt spray time, we recommended the surface treatment of zinc-nickel alloy to the customer, and the material was also changed to carbon steel. After the customer tested it, he found that the problem of her previous flat self tapping screws was indeed solved.
