What should I do if the zoom lens screw is loose?
Loosening the zoom lens screw is a common malfunction of the zoom lens. If such a malfunction occurs, the lens may be shaken or cannot move. Most zoom lenses have varying degrees of shaking. A small amount of shaking of the lens is allowed. The higher the quality of the lens, the smaller the sway. If the slip or sway is too large, the lens screw should be loose.
The solution is to grab the lens, stretch it and rotate it before and after, and test whether the slip or shake is too large. The lens should also be somewhat slippery. Check if the lens screw is loose.
If it is not possible to determine whether the sway is due to normal scale, then the lens can only be reused and investigated for a period of time. If there is a loose lens screw in the lens, be careful to repair it in time, otherwise, the screw will fall and it will get stuck in the moving tissue.
The solution is as follows
(1) Roll the focus ring and zoom ring, if not, remove the rubber ring.
You will see some fixing screws around the zoom ring and tighten them.
(2) Another part of the screw that is often loose is at the base of the lens. Many lenses are adjustable at the intersection of the lens barrels, and generally elliptical holes are used to adjust the total focus distance. If these conditioning screws are loose, it can cause the lens to shake or the photo to be out of focus. At this point, it is necessary to loosen the 3 to 4 general screws on the sleeve and remove the sleeve. In most plans, the loose screws sit under the sleeve and there may be some washers between the two barrels. Reassemble the two parts and tighten the screws.
