Why is the binding head tapping screw easy to break?
Some customers bought the binding head tapping screw and used them back. They found that the screws are always easy to break. Why is this?
The binding head tapping screw is easy to break, there are several reasons:
——The torque is too large. Use the torque of this screw to tighten the screw, so the screw will break.
——In addition to hydrogen is not complete. When the binding head tapping screws are made of carbon steel, the hydrogen is not completely removed, and it will be brittle when used, which is what we call hydrogen embrittlement.
——Not the strength level we require. For example, we require a 12.9-stage binding head tapping screw, but in fact, it is a 10.9-class screw. When we use it, we use the corresponding torque of 12.9 to use the screw, and the screw will also break.
——The thread bottom diameter is too small. No matter what the screw, there is a thread bottom diameter. And the thread bottom diameter of each screw is specified. However, in order to save materials, some manufacturers will reduce the thread bottom diameter of self-tapping screws during production. Although the screw will be better penetrated, the load will be reduced and it will be easy to break.
