Why should the stainless steel truss head screws be resized?
A few days ago, an electronics company in Dongguan found a Shi Shi Tong screw manufacturer to customize a stainless steel truss head screws, and sent the drawings to us to ask if we can produce.
After seeing the customer’s drawings, Shi Shi Tong told the customer that it is unreasonable to produce according to the size of this screw and it cannot be produced. Because the customer’s stainless steel truss head screws head is very thin, the groove depth has exceeded the thickness of the head, to reach the inside of the rod. The size of the inner hexagon is relatively large, which means that it is inside the pole. According to the customer’s size, we calculated it and found that the groove is only 0.5mm away from the edge of the rod. This is impossible to produce and it is easy to break.
So we gave the customer 3 suggestions. One is to change the thickness of the head of the stainless steel truss head screws to a standard size. One is to change the slot size of the screw. One is to leave a part of the blank under the head of the screw, no thread, and the diameter of the blank is set, to ensure that the screw will not break when used.
After that, the customer said that he chose to change the slot size of the screw. He feels that this is the safest.
